Walking into a hotel to have a wonderful breakfast, I love it! What a feast! And of course I can’t miss out on Hotel V at the Nesplein, in the centre of the Amsterdam theatre district. The beating heart of Hotel V is The Lobby, an area where everyone comes together; hotel guests, people passing by, and of course locals.
The atmosphere is warm. Picture: old sofas and bookcases, vintage lightning and thick draped curtains. The Lobby also has a fireplace, an actual reading corner, and a terrace with views over the Nesplein. By the way, don’t tell too many people about this amazing spot, because in spite of Hotel V’s central location this is the ideal place if you want to escape all the tourists for a while (even if you’re one yourself!). And once you’re settled? Please try the French Toast!
