The Teatro Valle was founded in 1727 making it Rome’s oldest theater to be in use today. Since 2011 however, the theatre has been occupied (“Occupato”) by a group of culture-savvy people including actors, directors and political figures because the theatre was on the verge of disappearing due to political decision-making. Since then, the theatre is open 7 days a week for shows and tours. Valle is a must-visit due to its social, political and architectural value to Rome. Check out a show or just visit the magnificent building. It’ll be worthwhile.
