Sven-Harry’s museum was founded by Sven Harry Karlsson and opened in 2012. The building is spectacular, spanning several levels featuring both contemporary and classical art exhibitions as well as a restaurant and a shop. On the rooftop you’ll find a replica of Sven Harry’s former home, the 18th century manor Ekholmsnäs. It houses his private art collection, which happens to be one of Sweden’s largest private collections of Nordic art. It includes works by Carl Fredrik Hill, Ernst Josephson, August Strindberg and Helene Schjerfbeck. The rooftop also gives access to the sculpture garden.
There are two admission options available so make sure you buy the right one as only one gives you access to Sven Harrys private art collection on the rooftop, which is definitely worth the extra buck.
